An entrepreneur is a person who takes on an idea and makes it grow - a person who assumes the responsibility and risk for a business operation with the expectation of making a profit. This involves decisions about the product, acquiring the facilities and bringing together the labor force, capital and production materials to make things happen.
Columbia College's Entrepreneurship Program can help provide the important background and training to help you become a successful entrepreneur. You'll discover the steps to create a business plan, obtain financing and market your product line, along with other ideas to start your own business.
