2nd Wednesday of every month from 10 to 11 am. Hosted in-person at the Tuolumne County Public Health department at 20111 Cedar Road North in Sonora or via Zoom. Join fellow pregnant and breastfeeding moms to discuss nursing challenges, share tips, and celebrate successes. Topics may include boosting milk, lactogenic foods, fussy babies, baby-wearing, infant massages, tummy-time, overcoming challenges, bay food prep, and more! Columbia College offers high quality child care for children ages birth to 5 years
old. Children are offered a developmentally appropriate environment and a curriculum
that values individual needs with emphasis on positive social and emotional development.
Child care is free or reduced for families who meet need and eligibility criteria.

The Cooperative Agencies and Resources for Education (CARE) program is designed to
serve EOPS for the academically underprepared, underrepresented, welfare-dependent,
single head of household student population to achieve academic and personal success.
Services provided by CARE include child care assistance, assistance with required
textbooks and academic materials, academic incentive grants, gas vouchers or bus passes,
academic support resources and equipment, student success workshops, and additional

Head Start is a federal program that provides free child care and preschool options
for eligible families who have children ages 0 to 5. Program qualifications vary,
so contact the local Head Start program to meet with a family advocate. Families who
receive CalFresh benefits automatically apply for the Head Start program.

Infant/Child Enrichment Services (ICES) provides free assistance in helping families search for child care. There are no income qualifications to receive these services. The Resource Connection Resource and Referral office works with families in Calaveras and Amador counties who need assistance in finding care for their children.
