Campus and community medical resources to help students understand insurance and what campus and community resources are available.
Columbia College has an on-campus health and wellness center located in the Pinyon
building. Students have free access to a nurse and a licensed mental health counselor.
The nurse offers treatment for minor illnesses and injury, health education, tuberculosis
screenings, flu vaccines, limited lab tests and other services. Columbia College does not currently have a staffed nurse or medical professional to
provide these services. The mental health counselor provides confidential counseling sessions.
Our health center also offers over-the-counter medications such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen,
allergy medicine, cough drops, hydrocortisone cream, antacids, antibiotic ointment,
and more. There is also Kleenex, hand sanitizer, period products, and more available.
The office also offers information about health insurance and community resources,
natural remedies, condoms and smoking cessation kits. There is also a nap room for
students who need a quick rest-and-recharge in between classes. All services provided
for students at the health and wellness center are free.
Contact the Health and Wellness Center at (209) 588-5283.
